TERRY VAN LEDBETTER

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Terry Van "Ted" Ledbetter, age 53, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday evening, February 18, 2005 at the Donalsonville Hospital Emergency Room. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Mr. Ledbetter on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 20, 2005 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with David King and Ken Carter officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Raymond and Beth Odom at 5660 Carter Drive in Donalsonville, or you may sign the guest register at www.evansskipperfh.com. Mr. Ledbetter was born in Marshall County, Alabama on June 11, 1951 to the late Horace and Edna Debord Ledbetter. He graduated Boaz High School in 1969 and attended Snead State Community College in Boaz for one year. Ted then transferred to the University of Florida where he had a baseball scholarship and played baseball there while studying for his B.S. in Education. He also served as President of the ATO Fraternity while at the University of Florida. He then received his Masters in Special Education from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Mr. Ledbetter taught Special Education in Alabama prior to his teaching career in the Seminole County School System. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Celia Odom Ledbetter of Donalsonville, GA; a son Vance Lee Ledbetter of Donalsonville, GA; two daughters, Jessica White of Pleasant Valley, California and Carmen Woodruff of Prattville, Alabama; one brother, Gerry Ledbetter and his wife Carolyn of Boaz, Alabama and 3 grandchildren, Camryn, Shelbie, and Macie. Mr. Ledbetter is also survived by his wife's parents, Raymond and Beth Odom of Donalsonville, GA and Henry and Betty Collins of Tallahassee, FL.
