J. E. "BO" EARNEST

March 10, 1942 — March 17, 2018

Mr. John Earle "Bo" Earnest, age 76, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Saturday morning, march 17, 2018 at Donalsonville Hospital.Funeral services for Mr. Earnest will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Spring Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Calvin Arnold and Rev. Garth Duke-Barton officiating.  Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Billy Whittaker, Jeffery Ross, Benny Hodges, Stacy Cooper, Ed Rogers, and David Fain serving as active pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Webb/Walker Sunday School Class.  Visitation will be held on Monday evening, March 19, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.Mr. Earnest was born on March 10, 1942 in Donalsonville, GA to Hoke Smith Earnest and Vera White Earnest.  He attended FDR School and later graduated from Seminole County High School in 1960. It was during his time at SCHS that he was a member of the FFA and served as President of this organization.   Mr. Earnest continued on to trade school where he received his electrical certificate and later became the Probate/Magistrate Judge of Seminole County, a position which he held for 40 years.  He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church where he was active in the Webb/Walker Sunday School Class. Mr. Earnest was also a founding member of the Donalsonville Country Club and a member of the Seminole County Quarterback Club.  He was very active and involved in his community, having been a member of the Donalsonville Lions Club of which he was a Past President and recipient of the Melvin Jones award, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Salem Seminole Masonic Lodge, and IBEW.He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Jerrie Earnest and his sons, Mark Earnest and wife Kelly and Craig Earnest and wife Kem, all of Donalsonville, GA; a sister-in-law, Joyce Earnest of Donalsonville, GA; his grandchildren, Abbie, Katie, and Emily Earnest, as well as several nieces and nephews.Mr. Earnest was preceded in death by his parents, Hoke S. Earnest and Vera W. Earnest; two brothers, Bobby Earnest and Bill Earnest; and two sisters, Jewel Seymour and Amelia Earnest.
