MARY SPOONER LYNN

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Mary Spooner Lynn, age 81, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Lynn will be held on Wednesday morning, March 2, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Donalsonville with the Rev. Morgan Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, March 1, 2005 from 6:00-7:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Lynn was born in Seminole County, GA on August 18, 1923 to the late Joseph Colquitt and Lola Widner Spooner. She was married to W.C. Lynn, who preceded her in death in Sept. of 2001. Mrs. Lynn had lived in Seminole County all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Donalsonville. Mrs. Lynn leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Jeannie Walker and her husband Dr. Charles O. Walker and Kathy Fox and her husband Melvin all of Donalsonville, GA; one brother, Don Spooner and his wife Joanna of Donalsonville, GA; four grandchildren, Dr. Charles A. Walker, Dr. Sarah Hampton, Dr. Josh Walker, and Kyla Fox; three great grandchildren, Ben Hampton, Allyson Walker,and Tanner Walker; and one great-great grandchild, Jase Walker. Mrs. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, W.C. Lynn, one brother,Carl Spooner, Jr.; and three sisters, Euna Gibson, Sybil Alday, and Louise Godby. Pallbearers will be Tommy Alday, Joseph E. "Tuddy" Alday, Jerry Godby, Lewis Godby, Dr. Charles A. Walker,Dr. Michael Hampton and Roy Moulton, Jr. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice 432 East Shotwell St. Bainbridge, GA 39817.
