ANNIE SARA KOHOUT

March 4, 1918 — March 14, 2005

We regret to announce the passing of Annie Sara Bell Kohout, age 87, of Shreaveport, LA who passed away Monday, March 14, 2005. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Kohout will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Olive Grove/Rock Pond Cemetery in Iron City, GA.with Elder Eddie Colley of Grace Missionary Baptist Church, Dothan, AL officiating. Mrs. Kohout was born March 4, 1918 in Faceville, GA to the late Thomas Wiley and Mattie Verletia Bell. She married 2nd Lt. Robert F. Kohout while he was stationed in Bainbridge, GA and they spent 62 beautiful years together. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. As a military wife, Sara was always active in the Officer's Wives Club, traveled extensively, but in a very short time always made a house a home. She was a wonderful hostess and cook and her home was always opened to family and friends. Sara was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Mrs. Kohout leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Lt. Col. Robert F. Kohout, Ret., USAF of Shreveport, LA; daughters, Dorothy (Winnie) Kohout of Shreveport, LA and Carol Ann Raveling and son-in-law, Melvin Raveling both of Santa Maria, CA; grandchildren, Mark Robert Raveling and wife; Robbie, Heather Anne Raveling-Bilderback and husband, Evan all of Spokane, WA;great grandchildren, Taelor Nickalos Bilderback and Kirstan Anne Raveling; and brothers, James T. Bell of Iron City, GA and Rev. Joseph Wiley Bell of Dothan, AL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Shreveport-Bossier, 3003 Knight Street, Shreveport, LA 71105.
