MAX GERALD NEWBERRY

May 16, 1950 — March 23, 2005

We regret to announce the passing of Max Gerald Newberry, age 54, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Services for Mr. Newberry will be held Friday, March 25, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Donalsonville with Dr. Ron McCaskill and Rev. Jimmy Hornsby officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, March 24, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. You may sign the guest register and share your thoughts with the family by visiting our website at www.evansskipperfh.com Mr. Newberry was born in Seminole County, GA on May 16, 1950 to Eddie Easom Newberry and the late Benjamin Hoyt Newberry. He was a graduate of Seminole County High School and a truck driver. Before becoming a truck driver, Mr. Newberry had been a part of the family's grocery retail business as long as it was in operation. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Donalsonville. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Yvonne Newberry, his mother Eddie Newberry, one son Chason Newberry and his wife Gina; two daughters Gena Miller and her husband Bud all of Donalsonville, GA; Marci Harrison and her husband Jarrod of Hagerstown MD; one brother Ted Newberry and his wife Becky and one sister Debbie O'Hearn and her husband Dennis both of Donalsonville, GA. He is also survived by four grandchildren Parker and Christina Miller and Riley and Kaydon Newberry. Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Thomas, Lewis Carter, Jr., Jarrett Simmons, Garry Stevens, Wade Spooner, Andy Foxworth, Tom Sheffield, and Emory Courson. The Deacons of First Baptist Church of Donalsonville will serve as honorary pallbearers. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice 432 East Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39817.
