CATHERINE SHORES

We regret to announce tthe passing of Catherine (Kitty) Shores, age 80, of Gainesville, FL formerly of Donalsonville, GA who passed away on Friday, March 25, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Bell officiating. Interment will be held at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Shores was born in Decatur County, GA on July 14, 1924 to the late Early and Arnie Faircloth Shores. She retired from General Electric and had lived in the Gainesville area for the passed 24 years; was a member of the Assembly of God and also the Moose Lodge. She is survived by a daughter Linda K. Lawhorn of Gainesville, FL; two brothers Billy Shores of Trenton, FL and his wife Mary Ann; Earl Shores of Phoenix City, AL and his wife Helen; a sister Audrey B. Hall of Gainesville, FL. Two grandchildren Michelle Shores and Kathryn Lawhorn and two great grandchildren Kelsey Schrock and Kevin Lawhorn. Several neices, nephews and cousins also survive. Pallbearers will be Earl Shores, John Jackson, Chris Jackson, E. J.Tipton, Sammy Joe Baker and Mike York. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, 432 East Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39817. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
