GRACE JONES DAVIS

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Grace Jones Davis, age 101, who passed away at the Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, FL on Tuesday, August 28, 2007. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Luther Hastey officiating. Mrs. Davis was born in Sumter County, GA on February 27, 1906 to the late James C. and Nannie Lou Jenkins Jones. She worked for many years as a secretary and was married to Hanx Davis who preceded her in death. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Davis leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Mary V. Jones of Hattisburg, MS and Louise Rudd of DuBach, LA; two nieces Beverly Jones Brock and her husband Dennis of Bonifay, FL and Louise Hoy of Marianna, FL; one nephew, James H. Jeffcoat of Orlando, FL and other nieces and nephews. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
