GERALD SANDERS

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Gerald Sanders, age 76, of Donalsonville, who passed away Monday, June 13, 2005 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Sanders will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with the Rev. Eric Boomer officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, June 15, 2005 from 7:00-9:00 PM at the chapel. You may share your thoughts with the family by visiting our website at www.evansskipperfh.com. Mr. Sanders was born on Dec. 15, 1928 in Brundidge, Al. to the late Will and Nellie Sanders. He worked for many years with Gibson Construction Co. before working with the City of Donalsonville until his retirement. He was married to Mavis Faulk Sanders who preceded him in death. They had one son, Kenneth Sanders, who also preceded him in death. Mr. Sanders leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter-in-law, Debbie Sanders of Lubbock, TX; two brothers, Winford Sanders and Ray Sanders both of Brundidge, AL; three sisters, Eunice King and Inez Ealles of Brundidge, AL and Vera Brown of Donalsonville, GA; two granddaughters, Aly and Katy Sanders of Lubbock, TX; two grandsons, Jeremy Sanders of South Carolina and B.J. Sanders of Knoxville, TN. Also surviving are two special friends and caregivers, Adelle Phillips and Don Gambrell. Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his wife, son, and two brothers, Buddy Sanders and Roy Sanders. Pallbearers will be Bert Adams, Jim Beswick, William Bledsoe, Carl Fain, Don Gambrell, Brandon Harrell, Brian Harrell and Marty Shingler. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
