We regret to announce the passing of Ricardo "Ricky" Cardenas, age 12, of Blakely, GA who passed away Friday evening, April 18, 2008 at the Miller County Hospital Emergency Room. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 24, at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Father Guy WIlson officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 23 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. He was in the 7th grade at Early County Middle School in Blakely, GA. He was involved in Karate, enjoyed playing soccer and loved pets. He is survived by his father, Pedro Cardenas; his mother Maria Elida Quinones Cardenas; his step-father, Alfredo Cepeda; maternal grandfather, Eladio Quinones of FL; maternal grandmother, Janie Beltran and her husband Ellis Aldridge of Blakely, GA, maternal great grandparents, Daniel and Elida Beltran of Donalsonville; paternal grandmother Maria C. Cardenas of FL; three bothers, Brandon Lee Cardenas, Ellis Leal and Angel Daniel Cepeda and one sister, Jahaira J. Cepeda all of Blakely, GA; Aunts and Uncles; Nancy and Nicolas Trujillo; Efrain and Lyliana Rodriquez Beltran; Ruben and Lori Beltran US Army stationed in Germany; Eladio Quinones, Jr. of FL. Numerous other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins also survive. Pallbearers will be Efrain Beltran, Diego Trujillo, Geoffry Hall, Jerry Holley, Jim Bob Aldridge and Eladio Quinones. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
