Jimie Knight

Mr. Jimie Knight, age 79, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Columbia, SC. A memorial service for Mr. Knight will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. There will be a time of visiting and sharing stories among friends and family followed by an eulogy and time of sharing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Seminole Manor Nursing Home Resident Council Fund 100 Florence Street Donalsonville, GA 39845. Mr. Knight was born in Colquitt, GA on April 3, 1934 to Joe Knight and Clara Grubbs Knight. He served his country in the United States Air Force, from which he retired as a Chief Mst. Sgt. Mr. Knight had been a longtime member of the American Legion and VFW. Chief Knight is survived by a nephew, Scott W. Hamric of Lakeland, FL and a niece Stephanie Hamric Ryon and her husband Steve of Columbia, SC; two great nephews, Gregory D. Hamric, US Navy, Japan and Jeremy K. Hamric and his wife Ashley, retired US Marine Corp; a great niece, Ashley Ryon Kirkham and her huband Jason and a great great niece, Ryon Addison Kirkham.
