John Richard Ringwood

John Richard Ringwood, age 72, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, GA. A memorial service for Mr. Ringwood will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Union Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Calvin Arnold officiating. Mr. Ringwood was born in Mount Kisco, NY on November 22, 1941 to Bill Ringwood and Rose Pritchard Ringwood. Mr. Ringwood was a mechanic and attended Union Missionary Baptist Church. John was a loving, patient, giving, family man. He spent many hours riding horseback with his wife, daughter, and grandson. He loved the Adirondacks and the beautiful scenery there, as well as the spectacular stars at Lake Luzerne. John camped with his horses and family for many years. He was a very talented mechanic, horseman, and blacksmith, just to name a few. He is survived by wife of 52 years, Arlene Ringwood of Donalsonville, GA; his son, Scott Ringwood and his wife Sherry of New York; his daughters, Jill DeCelle and her husband Dan of New York and Joell Ringwood of New York; a brother, Donald Ringwood and his wife Barbara; and his sisters, Audrey Brown, Janet Farquhar, Ginny Wychunis, Joan Bell, Lane Swanson, Latishia Sinistore, Bobby Weber, Kathleen Coleman, Gail Sinistore and her husband George, Diane Scala and her husband Lenny. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Aaron DeScisciolo(Andrea), Sean DeScisciolo, and Samantha DeCelle (Bre); and a great granddaughter, Aleena DeCelle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Ringwood and Rose Pritchard Ringwood; a brother, Charlie Ringwood; and a sister, Ellen Ringwood.
