ANNIE JEAN MARTIN RUSHING

Annie Jean Martin Rushing, age 96, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Donalsonville Hospital ER. Funeral services for Mrs. Rushing will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Hornsby officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Rushing was born January 11, 1918 in Ashford, Alabama to Leon Martin and Annie Corinne Hollingsworth Martin. Mrs. Rushing worked as a secretary and worked for Commercial State Bank. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Anne R. Trawick and her husband D.D. Trawick of Iron City, GA; her grandsons, D.D. ”Trey” Trawick III and his wife Amy of Iron City, GA and William Rushing “Rusty” Trawick and his wife Leslie of Iron City, GA; her great granddaughters, Taylor D. Trawick and Sydney R. Trawick both of Iron City, GA; and her sister, Betty Underwood of Lake City, FL. Mrs. Rushing was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Martin and Annie Corinne Hollingsworth Martin; her husband, William Clarence Rushing; three sisters and one brother.
