COLLEEN ESTER ADAMS HORNE

Colleen Ester Adams Horne, age 81, of Iron City, GA passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Horne will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Donalsonville Assembly of God Church with Rev. James Scarborough and Rev. Scott Messer officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville with Mike Toole, Mills Brock, Dustin Ward, Adam Alday, Kevin Alday and Bill Parrish serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church. Mrs. Horne was born December 28, 1933 in Dothan, AL to Alton Adams and Eva Varnum Adams. She was a member of Donalsonville Assembly of God Church and a homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Eugene Horne of Iron City, GA; four sons, Steve Williams and his wife Carol of Iron City, GA, Jimmy Vinson and his wife Liz of Dothan, AL, Gene Horne and his wife Beverly of Bainbridge, GA, and Steve Horne and his wife Lori of Donalsonville, GA; four daughters, Charlotte Alday and her husband Donnie of Blakely, GA, Donna Alday of Destin, Fl, Sherry Toole and her husband Mike of Augusta, GA, and Marsha Golden and her husband Ronnie of Warner Robins, GA; four sisters, Christine Chatham and her husband George of Rosehill, MS, Dene Chatham and her husband Charlie of Meridian, MS, jean Brooks of Cottonwood, AL, and Maxine Morris and her husband Riley of Panama City, FL; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Horne was preceded in death by her parents, Alton Adams and Eva Varnum Adams, and the father of her children, Archie Williams.
