THELDA COBB

Mrs. Thelda Cobb, age 83 of Jefferson, GA and formerly of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday afternoon, January 30, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Donalsonville Assembly of God with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Larry Stevens, Terry Glenn, Kyle Kinman, Stephen Houston, Robert Keller, and Dennis Baker serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church. Mrs. Cobb was born in Donalsonville, GA on September 17, 1931 to Roy and Beulah Johnson Bowen. She was a member of Donalsonville Assembly of God Church and a homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons. Randy Cobb and his wife Joy of Jonesboro, GA and Jerrell Cobb and his wife Debbie of Hoschton, GA; a sister, Wylene Carpenter of Fayetteville, GA; and 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Cobb Phelps and her husband Cory, Angela Cobb Linebarger and her husband Johnny, Kimberly Cobb McPhail and her husband Ryan, and Elyse B. Cobb Shivers and her husband Gabriel. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Jacob Phelps, Katelyn Linebarger, Emma Linebarger, and Alexis McPhail. Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Beulah Johnson Bowen and her husband Doyle Cobb.
