MARGARET WILLIAMS SPOONER

Margaret Williams Spooner, age 96, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Thursday evening, Feb. 19, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Spooner will be held on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Donalsonville with Rev. Mitch Royals officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with David Faircloth, Ricky Smith, Mark Whittaker, Bryant Garland, Jimmy Holt, and Ronnie Joe Shiver serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held on Saturday evening, Feb. 21, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Spooner was born in Donalsonville, GA on April 23, 1918 to Will Williams and Mattie Ivey Williams. She was a member of Donalsonville First Baptist Church, the Mature Adults, and the Jubilees. Mrs. Spooner was a homemaker and former storeowner. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Kim Williams and his wife Stella of Donalsonville, GA; 3 grandchildren, Sissy Davis, Leland Williams, and Barry Williams; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Spooner was preceded in death by her parents, Will Williams and Mattie Ivey Williams; her husband, Totsy Williams in 1990 and her second husband, Phil Spooner in 2001. She was also preceded in death by a son, Andy Ray Williams; a grandson, Stacy Williams; and a great granddaughter, Zoey Conoly.
