M.J. CONYERS

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. M.J. Conyers, age 92, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 at Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Conyers will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with members of the Masons serving as active pallbearers and performing Masonic Rites. Visitation will be held onSunday, May 3, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Conyers was born in Donalsonville, GA on August 25, 1922 to Daniel S. Conyers and Mittie L. Harrell Conyers. He was a member of Salem Masonic Lodge #267 for 65 years and Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church. He retired from Miller Hydro and continued to farm part time for many additional years. He is survived by four children, one daughter, Dorothy Jones and her husband William of Prattville, AL, and three sons, Joseph Conyers and his wife Patricia of Bainbridge, GA, Dewayne Conyers and his wife Jeannie of Ashford, AL, and William Conyers and his wife Roxie of Cheyenne, WY; and sister-in-law, Rose Donalson of Bainbridge, GA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Conyers was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel S. Conyers and Mittie L. Harrell and his wife Ada Mae Conyers.
