EMMA LAFAYE "FAYE" CANNON CHESNUT

October 31, 1942 — August 24, 2015

Emma LaFaye “Faye” Cannon Chesnut, age 72, of Pansey, AL and formerly of Jakin, GA passed away Monday evening, August 24, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Chesnut will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 3:00 PM EST at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Charles D. Green and Rev. Donna Bevels officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery with James Larry Chesnut, Jr., Joshua General Chesnut, Kevin Christopher Hostinsky, Michael Charles Chesnut, Austin Howell Wade, and Wallace Clarke Shiver, Jr. serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM EST at the funeral home. Mrs. Chesnut was born in Jakin, GA on October 31, 1942 to Jess General Cannon and Etta Benita Reese Cannon. She was a high school graduate and member of Springfield Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who loved to take care of and spend time with her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Larry James Chesnut; her children, James Larry Chesnut and his wife Doris, Tony Michael Chesnut and his wife Teresa, and Pamela Michaele Hostinsky and her husband Ron; her grandchildren, James Larry Chesnut, Jr. and his wife Jessica, Joshua General Chesnut, Adam James Hostinsky and his wife Ashley, Kevin Christopher Hostinsky, and Whitney LaFaye Wilson and her husband Eric; as well as great grandchildren, Aiden Matthew Wilson, Adelynn LaFaye Wilson, and Saylor Renee Hostinsky. Mrs. Chesnut is also survived by one brother, Jake Edrus Cannon and his wife Carrie and Benny Harrell Hayes who was raised as her brother; and Martharee Hayes Parker and Marie Hayes Frasier who was raised as her sisters. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. Mrs. Chesnut was preceded in death by her parents, Jess General Cannon and Etta Benita Reese Cannon; one brother, Jess General Cannon and Billy Howell Hayes who was raised as her brother; and two sisters, Jennie Elene Cannon Brooks and Eltrym Eudene Cannon Hayes.
