James Kirkland

Mr. James Kirkland age, 86, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Signature Health Care in Graceville, FL. Funeral services for Mr. Kirkland will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Dr. Johnny Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Ashford, AL with Rev. Greg Aman officiating and Bruce Phillips, Jeff Anderson, Allen Todd, Scott Rogers, Tracy Scarborough, and Jay Hawkins serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Kirkland was born in Madrick, AL on August 11, 1929 to Wiley Kirkland and Cora Thomas Kirkland. He was of the Baptist faith and served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Kirkland was self-employed in the upholstry business. He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Todd Kirkland and his wife Robyn of Donalsonville, GA, and two grandchildren, Arrya Kirkland and Kam Kirkland both of Donalsonville, GA. Mr. Kirkland was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Cora Thomas Kirkland; his wife, Sarah Kirkland, five brothers, and two sisters.
