IRENE TEMPLES COBB

May 8, 1939 — February 24, 2016

Irene Temples Cobb, age 76, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Wednesday evening, Feb. 24, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Cobb will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Messer officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with James Chambliss, Lane Chambliss, Steven Faircloth, Jacob Holley, III, Eric Holley, and Michael Temples serving as active casketbearers. Honorary casketbearers will be Aaron Chambliss, Lamar Temples, Marty Temples, John Jones, Paul Temples, Andy Temples, Danny Temples and Bo Temples. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, Feb. 26, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Cobb was born in Bainbridge, GA on May 8, 1939 to Ernest Temples and Florence Hunt Temples. She was a homemaker and attended the First Church of the Nazarene. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Patricia Faircloth and her husband Allen and Linda Holley and her husband Jake all of Donalsonvillle, GA; a sister, Bernest Jones of Ocoee, FL; and two brothers, Wesley Temples and his wife Betty of Donalsonville, GA and Carl Temples and his wife Shirley of Ocoee, FL. Mrs. Cobb is also survived by her grandchildren, Melissa Gibson and her husband James Chambliss, Steven Faircloth, Jacob Holley, III and his wife Caitlynn, Eric Holley, and Judy Faircloth; her great grandchildren, Lane Chambliss, Aaron Chambliss, and Rebecca Chambliss; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Temples and Florence Hunt Temples; her husband, Hubert Grady Cobb; and three brothers, Henry Temples, Johnny Temples, and Tom Temples.
