RUTH BROWN RHODES

Ruth Jeanette Brown Rhodes, age 76, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mrs. Rhodes will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Hubert Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Rhodes was born in Brundidge, AL on August 8, 1939 to Ellie Franklin Brown and Vera Margaret Sanders Brown. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Thomas Rhodes, Jr of Colquitt, GA and Donnie Rhodes of Donalsonville, GA; three sisters, Doris Williams and her husband James of Columbus, GA, Nellie Branton and her husband Rev. Bobby Branton of Rome, GA, and Rev. Margaret Ray and her husband Rev. Glenn Ray of Phenix City, AL; and a brother, Thomas Brown and his wife Lisa of Donalsonville, GA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rhodes was preceded in death by her parents, Ellie and Vera Brown; her husband, Thomas Rhodes, Sr., her daughter, Marie Rhodes; and her brother, Jerry Brown.
