DENNIS HARRISON

May 25, 1951 — March 28, 2016

Dennis Harrison, age 64, of Iron City, GA passed away Monday afternoon, March 28, 2016 at his residence. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Harrison will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Bobby Glover officiating. Casketbearers will be Lavon Chandler, Curtis Alday, Charles Wells, Jason Wells, Donald Moore and Michael Hagler. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home, one hour immediately before the service. Mr. Harrison was born May 25, 1951 in Cuthbert, GA to the late Luther Harrison and Wilma Berry Harrison. He served his country in the Marines and he was a retired Shipping Supervisor at Georgia Pacific. He was a member of the American Legion and he loved gardening and fishing. Mr. Harrison is survived by his wife, Vivian Jeffers Harrison of Iron City, GA; a son, Trent Harrison (Jessica) of Donalsonville, GA; his daughters, Mandy Cowart (Coach) of Adel, GA, Krista Harrison of Donalsonville, GA; and a step-daughter, Andrea Handrop of Panama City, FL; his brothers, Don Harrison, Harry Harrison, Winfred Taylor; his sisters, Janelle King, Charlene Pritchett, Luverne Duke, Edna Hagler, Elaine Zimmer, Jo Ann Gantt, Delora Wells and Janice Brunson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Hattie Harrison, Julian Harrison, Kristi Driver, Abby Walker, Ashton Sconyer, Caden Sconyers, Britani Kaelyn Spruill, Teagan Harden, Summer Murkerson and Jensis Boomer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Harrison and Wilma Berry Harrison; his first wife, Linda Moore Harrison; and two siblings, Terry Harrison and Noma Harrison.
