BEATRICE ROBERTS BURKE

Beatrice Roberts Burke, age 79, of Iron City, GA entered into rest on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mrs. Burke will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Bobby Roberts officiating. The service will conclude in the chapel with a private family burial at New Home Freewill Baptist Church in Miller County. Active casketbearers will be Mike Tucker, Ethan Fiveash, Jared Fiveash, Edward Fiveash, Neal Spooner, and Larry Lane. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Mrs. Burke was born in Donalsonville, GA on September 22, 1936 to Van Roberts and Ruby Phillips Roberts. She retired from John B. Sanfillippo and Sons where she had worked in quality control. Mrs. Burke was a member of New Home Freewill Baptist Church and she dearly loved her family and spending time with them. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Brenda Towns and Terry of Iron City, GA; her mother, Ruby Roberts of Iron City, GA; a grandson, Clay Towns of Iron City, GA; a brother, Roger Roberts and Mary of Pompano Beach, FL; and a sister, Betty Tucker of Donalsonville, GA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her father, Van Roberts; her husband, Lamar “Hot Shot” Burke; her grandson, Troy Wiley; and her sister, Judy Roberts.
