TURNER JOE WILLIAMS

Turner Joe Williams, age 67, of Colquitt, GA passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 at his residence. Graveside services for Mr. Williams will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM at New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines, GA with Rev. Ralph Estes and Rev. Jackie Williams officiating. Active pallbearers will be Christopher Fields, David Fields, James Tanner, Setth Cross, Isaac Bush, and Josh Chambliss. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, Nov. 7, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Mr. Williams was born in Ft. Gaines, GA on July 7, 1949 to Thomas Williams and Margaret Hardwick Williams. He worked for many years with GA Federal State Inspection Services. When he retired, Mr. Williams was working as a Supervisor for District 3. He was a member of Mt. Giland Baptist Church in Ft. Gaines. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Ilene Robinson Williams of Colquitt, GA; his mother, Margaret Hardwick Williams of Marietta, GA; his stepchildren, Tonya Cross and Brad of Donalsonville, GA, Kevin Sconyers and Jennifer of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Owen Standifer of Blakely, GA; two brothers, David Williams and Lorraine of Chapel Hill, NC and Buddy Williams and Jane of Dunlap, TN; and a sister, Jeanelle Fields and Bill of Marietta, GA. Mr. Williams is also survived by his grandchildren, Seth Cross, Hollyn Richards, Darian Cross, Austin Sconyers, and Hayden Goodman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Williams; an infant brother, Roy Williams; and a nephew, Mike Williams.
