Hollis Clayton Pitts, Jr.

Hollis Clayton Pitts, Jr. of Donalsonville, GA passed away December 30, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Spring Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Hatchett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 PM at the church. Mr. Pitts was born in Eastman, GA on January 8, 1937 to Hollis Clayton Pitts, Sr. and Alice Olene Davis Pitts. He served in the United States Navy, and was member of the American Legion. He was also a retired mechanic and a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Carol Rogers Pitts; his children, Clayton Bryan Pitts and his wife Julie of Thomasville, GA, Hollis Grant Pitts of Gainesville, FL, Allen Timothy Pitts and his wife Karen of Murfreesboro, TN, Courtney Pitts Waddell and her husband Don of Macon, GA and Calonie Rene Pitts of Tallahassee, FL; his sisters, Charron Hearn and her husband Jim of Kinston, NC, Phyllis Brinson and her husband Armon of Griffin, GA and Latrelle Stockton of Vidalia, GA; and his grandchildren, Misty Sellars of Jacksonville, FL, Jonsie Pitts of Marietta, GA, Avery Pitts of Valdosta, GA and Marie Pitts of Thomasville, GA.
