BRIAN KEITH COOK

April 23, 1961 — February 18, 2017

Brian K. Cook, age 55, of Donalsonville, GA, formerly of Napoleon, MI, peacefully left his earthly body to be with the Lord and receive his new perfect heavenly body on February 18, 2017 after fighting a long hard battle with a complicated medical history. He loved the Lord and had accepted him as his personal Savior at an early age. He was of the Baptist faith. Brian had a brilliant mind and loved to share his knowledge with others. Education was extremely important to him. He always said, “An education and knowledge was something that could never be taken from you.” He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree with his Major in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University, MI, and had put significant work in to his Masters Degree. He was a very giving man, few people knew that he wrote numerous grants through the years that benefited many people and organizations here in Georgia and in Michigan. He was an entrepreneur at heart and always had a new idea he was working on. He loved to fish and fell in love with Lake Seminole and the wonderful people of Seminole County whom he lovingly referred to as family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 33 years, Karen; his son, Ian, who was his entire world; his mother, Barbara Cook of Jackson, MI; his father, Keith Cook of TX; brothers Kevin Cook (Amanda) of MI, Mark Cook (Melissa) of MI, Kimberly Cook (Chrissy) of CA; nieces, Emma and Kaylee; nephews, Spencer, Max, and Stewart; as well as special nephews Chuck Barker (Lydia) of CA and Richard Barker (Sally) of MI. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Gloria Logan. Brian also leaves many uncles and aunts. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 4th, 2017 at 12 :30 PM at Lake Seminole Baptist Church with Brother David Pace officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Ian’s College Fund c/o First Port City Bank PO Box 1070 Bainbridge, GA 39818.
