BILLY MIKE NORTH

Billy Mike North, age 67, of Iron City, GA passed away Monday morning, May 15, 2017 in the Donalsonville, Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Donalsonville Church of God with Rev. Joe Tatum and Rev. Phillip Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Tracy Horne, Danny North, Kishan Patel, Aaron Hinton, Bill Moody and Brad Cross serving as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on one hour prior to the service starting at 2:00 PM at the church. Mr. North was born in Donalsonville, GA on August 20, 1949 to Spurgeon North and Lois Jarvis North. He served his country in the United States Army and retired from Shelton Trucking. Mr. North attended Donalsonville Church of God. He enjoyed any type of sports whether participating, coaching or watching. He especially enjoyed playing golf. Mr. North leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Betty Bowers North of Iron City, GA; his daughter, Marjorie Robinson and her husband James of Bainbridge, GA; his son, Jonathan North of Iron City, GA; a brother, Charles “Buddy” North and his wife Frances of Donalsonville, GA; and a sister, Elaine Cross of Donalsonville, GA; and his grandchildren, Aaron Hinton, Madison Pope, Paxton Pope, Jeremy Robinson and his wife Kristin, Brandon Robinson and Kylee Robinson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. North was preceded in death by his parents, Spurgeon North and Lois Jarvis North; his step-mother, Ruth W. North; a brother, James North and a sister, Linda Faye Gray.
