She was also a first class bookkeeper, and helped run the farming operation of her brothers and the real estate endeavors of her son, Richard and son-in-law, Jay. She was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Donalsonville, where she resided most of her life and always considered “home”. Her many hobbies included sewing, knitting and baking; skills she lovingly passed on to many of her grandchildren. Even as sickness ravaged her earthly body, her dedication to them never wavered; whether traveling many miles to attend events or knitting a baby blanket, her love and spirit was always present. Her profound presence will be greatly missed, but she has left an indelible mark on their lives.
