SARA ELIZABETH SINGLETON TAYLOR

Sara Elizabeth Singleton Taylor, age 71, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Tuesday evening, August 15, 2017 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Milton Pate officiating. Interment will follow in Hebrew Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Joey Taylor, Jr., AJ Taylor, Eddie Gipson, Jeffery Taylor, Corey Handsford, and Joey Taylor, Sr. serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, August 18, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Taylor was born in Josey, AL on April 3, 1946 to Colon Singleton and Pauline Langston Singleton. She was a CNA and worked for some time at Donalsonville Hospital. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed fishing, watching game shows, and dancing. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Janie Gipson and her husband Pete, Paula Roberts, James Taylor, Jr., Teresa Taylor and her husband Joey, and John Taylor and his wife Bonnie, all of Donalsonville, GA; her brothers, Carlton Singleton of Columbus, GA, Lonnie Singleton and Edward Singleton and his wife Mary both of Phenix City, AL; and her sisters, Geneva Owens of Columbus, GA and Edna Krauthhammer and her husband David of Guntersville, AL. Mrs. Taylor is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, Colon Singleton and Pauline Langston Singleton; her husband James Arthur Taylor, Sr.; and her brother, Roy Singleton.
