JERRY RICKY HORN

Jerry Ricky Horn, age 61, of Jakin, GA passed away Thursday morning, October 19, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Horn will be held on Sunday afternoon, October 22, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Messer officiating. Interment will follow in Oakview Church of God Cemetery with Bob Yawn, Larry Bush, Eric Gaulden, Lee Conoly, Rob Blackburn, and Eddie Leaverton serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Easom, Chris Brookins, Don Bush, Ted Lanton, Michael Ready, Wesley Bennett, Johnny Creel, Charles Dennis, Roger Holley, Stan Arnold, Larry King, and Jonny Wadell. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Horn was born in Donalsonville, GA on February 14, 1956 to Raymond Horn and Vera Mae Sconyers Horn. He farmed for many years and was a member of the Oakview Church of God. He enjoyed visiting with friends and playing dominos. He leaves to cherish his memory, his brothers, Gene R. Horn and wife Lucille of Donalsonville, GA, and Bruce Horn and wife Debbie of Jakin, GA; his sister, Peggy Isler and husband Jerry of Donalsonville, GA; his adopted brothers, Jimmy Herring and wife Lynn of Thomaston, GA, Roger Herring of Smiths Station, AL, and Billy Herring and wife Jeanette of Utopia, GA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Horn was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Vera Mae Sconyers Horn and Durwood and Cecil Horn Herring; and his brother, Bobby Sconyers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
