ANDREW JACKSON "JACK" IVEY

Andrew Jackson (Jack) Ivey, age 73, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Friendship Cemetery with Rev. Mylan Brookins officiating. Mr. Ivey was born in Donalsonville, GA on August 27, 1948 to Gordon and Elizabeth King Ivey. He worked for over 40 years at Ga Pacific. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his chickens but above all, he loved his family. Mr. Ivey was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Dana Bowers (Glenn), Jackie Bridges (Jason), and Gina Burke (Brian). He also leaves behind his five cherished grandchildren, Kristanna Bowers, Sydnee Burke, Jack Burke, Cutler Bridges, and Carrigan Bridges; his sisters, Lucy Brock (Steve), who always treated him like her “special baby brother” even though he was older, and Sherry Peace (Anthony). Mr. Ivey was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Elizabeth King Ivey; brothers, Bob and Mike and sister Mary Gordon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Seminole County Warpath on Cancer 200 W. 10th Street Donalsonville, GA 39845.
