Angelia “Angie” Phillips Cross, age 66, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Friday evening, March 22, 2024, at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cross will be held on Thursday afternoon, March 28, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Corey Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery with Douglas Roney, Cain Morse, Justin Cross, Jake Vinson, Patrick Creel, and Stone Cross, serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cross was born in Okaloosa County, FL on December 12, 1957, to James Ward Phillips and Patricia Willis Phillips. She completed her Radiology Technician certification and worked in radiology at Donalsonville Hospital for many years. Angie loved to fish and hunt and driving with the top down. Spending time at the beach was a favorite way to pass the time, and she loved cooking for people, especially her family and friends. She loved her dogs, they were like her own children, but the love of her life was JM.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Jessica Harrison (Trent) of Iron City, GA, Dave Cross (Elizabeth) of Donalsonville, GA, and Matt Cross (Quitty) of Colquitt, GA; and her grandchildren, Stone Cross (Amelia), Linzey Cross, Justin Cross, Hattie Harrison (Douglas Roney), Julian Harrison, Tori Cross, Kaylan Woods, Abram Woods, and Kamron Ward. Her father, James Ward Phillips; her siblings, Gayla Vinson (Steve), Bill Barrineau (Tabitha), Paige Edwards (Frank), and Joy Oliver (Andy) all of Donalsonville, GA; as well as numerous nephews and nieces also survive.
Mrs. Cross was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia McLendon; her stepfather, Bill McLendon; her husband, JM Cross; her brother, Ward Phillips; and two sisters, Jane Wilson and Cathy Pellerin.
