ANNIE LOUISE HAWKINS MIMS

Annie Louise Hawkins Mims, age 99, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 24, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Mims will be held on Thursday morning, Sept. 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough officiating.  Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens with her grandsons serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Mrs. Mims was born in Dothan, AL on Nov. 26, 1919 to Thomas Jackson Hawkins and Beatrice Brookins Hawkins.  She was a homemaker and member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Earl Mims and Kay, Julia Easom, Virginia Grant and Billy, Carolyn Batchelor, and Norma McLeod all of Donalsonville, GA, and Caleto Burke and Travis of Tallahassee, FL; a brother, Eugene Hawkins and Luverne of Albany, GA and sister-in-law, Georgianne Hawkins of Donalsonville, GA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Mrs. Mims was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jackson Hawkins and Beatrice Brookins Hawkins; her husband J.C. Mims;  two brothers, Walton Hawkins and Robert Hawkins; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ola Hawkins.
