ARISTO WAYNE COWART

Aristo Wayne Cowart, age 63, of Iron City, GA passed away Sunday afternoon, October 18, 2020 at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 22, 2020 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to local families in need of assistance. Mr. Cowart was born in Colquitt, GA on May 23, 1957 to Aristo Cowart and Eunice Toole Cowart. He worked in agriculture and construction, but most recently as an electrician with Triad Electric. Mr. Cowart enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and grilling. Some of his happiest and best times were those spent with friends and family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Brenda Cowart of Iron City, GA; his children, Josh Cowart and Kelly Cowart of Iron City, GA; his grandchildren, Layton, Gavohn, and Leah; and two sisters, Brenda Gayle Hunter (Ray) of Iron City, GA and Veda Bellflower of Bainbridge, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Cowart was preceded in death by his parents, Aristo Cowart and Eunice Toole Cook; his siblings, Berry Lee Cowart, Jimmy Toole, Stanley Cowart, Gene Cowart, Joanne Morris, and Gwen Hurley; as well as a granddaughter, Kalista.
