BRENDA JILL ALDAY SANDERA

DONALSONVILLE

Brenda Jill Alday Sandera, age 66, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Sunday morning, December 24, 2023, at her residence.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Sandera will be held on Thursday afternoon, December 28, 2023, at

3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough officiating.  Interment will follow at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery with Ryan Posey, Westly White, Ricky Widner, Lonnie Alday, and Thomas Greathouse serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

 

Mrs. Sandera was born in Donalsonville, GA on Oct. 20, 1957, to Calvin “Pete” Alday and Edna Hartzog Alday.  She was a business owner, having owned and operated Dixie Sales and Service for a number of years with her late husband, Tom Sandera.  Mrs. Sandera was a member of Salem-Seminole Baptist Church.  Family was very important to Mrs. Sandera and she so enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she loved very much.

 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Dawn Greathouse and husband Thomas of Pinckard, AL, Deborah Shiver of Donalsonville, GA, and Penny Scott of Donalsonville, GA; her brothers, Donnie Alday and wife Charlotte of Cedar Springs, GA, Lonnie Alday and wife Harriett of Brinson, GA, and Garland Alday of Donalsonville, GA; and her sister-in-law, Michelle Alday of Whigham, GA.  Mrs. Sandera is also survived by her grandchildren, Chelsea Gieselmann and husband Kyle, Dustin Greathouse and wife Kayla, Biranda Greathouse, Daniel Widner, Sierra Varnum and husband Jay, and Reese Stephenson; her great grandchildren, Makayla Greathouse, Matleigh Gieselmann, Cannen Greathouse, Blakely Greathouse, Isabella McGhee, Charlee Grace Wilkerson, Colton McGhee, Ava Mack Greathouse, and Ivy Varnum; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

 

Mrs. Sandera was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin “Pete” Alday and Edna Hartzog Alday; her husband, Tom Sandera; two brothers, Hiram “Poochie” Alday and Danny Alday; and a grandson, Holten Greathouse.
