CALVIN LAMAR HUMPHREY

Calvin Lamar Humphrey, 71, of Quincy, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026.

A memorial service will be announced later.

He was born on April 4, 1954, in Quincy, to his biological parents, Pete Norris and Katie Lee Toliver. Calvin was later adopted and lovingly raised by James and Alma Humphrey, who nurtured him with care and faith throughout his life.

Calvin was preceded in death by his biological parents, Pete Norris and Katie Lee Toliver; his adopted father, James Humphrey; his sister, Barbara Burleson; and his daughter, Candy E. Wright.

He is survived by his adopted mother, Alma Humphrey; siblings, Deborah Sweeney, Robert Humphrey, Royce Hornsby, Jr., Kitty Adams, Rory Hornsby, and Ina Hornsby Joiner; his children, Cassandra Drakeley, Cassey Humphrey, Ashley Doyle, Jamie Doyle, and Austin Doyle; and twelve cherished grandchildren.

Calvin will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his generous heart, and the way he touched the lives of those who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
