Mr. Carlton Croom, age 85, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday evening, January 23, 2023 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL.

Funeral services for Mr. Croom will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Free and Rev. David Roland officiating. Interment will follow in Salem- Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery with Noah Johnson, Reed Phillips, Luke Johnson, Alex Croom, Benji Croom, and Eli Croom serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church.  The family request that those who wish to help with meals please wait and bring food to the church by 11:30 on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Seminole Baptist Church c/o Susie Croom 6584 Hwy 374 Donalsonville,GA 39845.

Mr. Croom was born in Donalsonville, GA on May 31, 1937 to James O. and  Ella  Barber Croom. He was a graduate of Seminole County High School where he was a member of the FFA and won several ribbons for showing cattle and was a row crop and cattle farmer. Mr. Croom was a quiet man who loved farming and driving tractors. He was a member of Salem Seminole Baptist Church and served as a Deacon for over 50 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Mickie Croom, Cecil Croom and Susie, Kent Croom and Linda, Rhonda Carroll and Don, Scott Baxter and Rebecca, and Cheryl Bousson; his grandchildren, Laura Croom, Benji Croom and Joelle, Kristy Johnson and Luke, Alex Croom and Jarett, Brittany Scott and Stephen, Tiffany Maxwell, Whitney Green and Sean, Lindsey Price and Bill Jewett, Lake Garelli and Peter, Haley Fraze and Ted, and Eric Mullins and Jesse; as well as 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James O. and Ella Barber Croom; his wife, Geneva Croom; his grandson, Heath Maxwell; and his great granddaughter, Faith Green.
