Carolyn Willis McLeod, age 90, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Wednesday morning, August 23, 2023, at Belmont Place in Alpharetta, GA.

Funeral services for Mrs. McLeod will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 3:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Wade Spooner officiating.  The services will conclude in the church due to the extreme heat; however, interment will be at Friendship Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the church.

Mrs. McLeod was born in Donalsonville, GA, on October 20, 1932, to Alva Willis and Trudie Roland Willis.  She was a housewife and active member of First Presbyterian Church Donalsonville.  Mrs. McLeod was a competitive Bridge player, having hosted many Bridge events in the past, as well as participating in the weekly Bridge games at the Senior Center.  She was a member of the Wana Liddell Circle and The Threads of Love sewing group of the First Presbyterian Church and was truly active in all aspects of the church.  Reading and working in her flowers were among some of her most loved pastimes.  Her most cherished times were when she was able to spend time with her family and friends, and her friends were a large part of her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Janet McLeod Hill of Donalsonville, GA, Sandy McLeod Johnson and her husband Michael of Alpharetta, GA, and Carol Ann Stovall and her husband Bryan of Savannah, GA; her grandchildren, Meredith King, Matthew Hill, Miranda Hill, Brian Johnson and his wife Hailey, Jessica Johnson, Todd Johnson, and Camden Stovall; as well as her great grandchildren, Jett Johnson and Cruze Johnson. Several nephews and nieces also survive.

Mrs. McLeod was preceded in death by her parents, Alva Willis and Trudie Roland Willis; her husband, Waldo L. “Bo” McLeod; and her siblings, Jimmie Willis, Charles Willis, Bubba Willis, and Dorothy Harnesberger.
