CHARLES EUGENE ATWELL III

Charles Eugene Atwell, III, age 84, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Wednesday evening, June 5, 2024, at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL.

A memorial service will be held on June 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville, GA with Rev. Michael Wingertsahn officiating.  

Mr. Atwell was born in Morhaven, FL, on Dec. 22, 1939, to Charles Eugene Atwell, Jr. and Elania Cazadella Atwell.   He was a high school graduate and served his country in the US Army.  While in the Army, Mr. Atwell worked as a mechanic and after retiring from the military he continued to work from time to time as a mechanic.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Terry Atwell of Donalsonville, GA; his children, Kristi King and her husband John of Opelika, AL, Todd Atwell and his wife Shelby of Opelika, AL, Leah Rennie Dean and her husband Mike of Thomasville, GA, and Perry Price and his wife Lisa of Donalsonville, GA. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Mr. Atwell was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Eugene Atwell, Jr. and Elania Cazadella Atwell Roque; and his siblings, Joe Roque, Mario Atwell, Florentino Roque, and Geneva Atwell.
