CLYDE EDWARD "C.E." EARNEST

Clyde Edward "C.E." Earnest, age 76, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Tuesday evening, Feb. 3, 2026, at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Earnest will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church with Rev. David Roland and Dr. Phil Badresingh officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Joey Poole, Phillip Poole, Garrett Earnest, Bobby McGhee, Colby Weeks, and Randall Earnest serving as active pallbearers.  Masonic rites will be held at the cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 1:00 at the church.  

Mr. Earnest was born in Donalsonville, GA on Nov. 21, 1949, to Clyde Edward Earnest, Sr. and Thelma Griner Earnest.  He worked with the Union Local 474 as a heavy machine operator engineer.  He was a member of Salem Seminole Baptist Church and of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years.  

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary Cato Earnest of Donalsonville, GA; his sons, Dewayne Earnest of Tallahassee, FL and Darrell Earnest of Donalsonville, GA; as well as his brother, Bruce Earnest and his wife Tami of TyTy, GA.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jessica Earnest Weeks (Colby), Marah Earnest McGhee (Bobby), and Garrett Earnest (Amber); his great grandchildren, Daisy Weeks, Averie McGhee, and Luke Earnest; and his step-great grandchildren, Khylee and Evelyn.

Mr. Earnest was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Edward Earnest, Sr. and Thelma Griner Earnest and his brother, Frankie Earnest.
