Corine Watson Allen

Corine Watson Allen, age 91, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday evening, Jan. 27, 2020 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Allen will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Walker officiating.  Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Marty McCalvin, Stephen Chandler, Chris Thomas, Cody Adkins, Alex Adkins, and Zackary Turner serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home at 1:00 PM.  Mrs. Allen was born in Webb, AL on January 30, 1930 to Alonzo and Dorothy Glover Watson.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed working in her garden, growing flowers and taking care of others.  Most importantly she would want to be remembered for her love of the Lord and would talk to everyone about her Savior.  She leaves to cherish her memory, her grandchildren, Tiny Chandler (Stephen) of Donalsonville, GA, Tina McCalvin (Gabriel Ramirez) of Moultrie, GA, and Marty McCalvin (Tammy Stanley) of Donalsonville, GA; her great grandchildren, Leslie Turner, Jessica Turner, Zackary Turner, Makayla Leah McCalvin, Leigh McCalvin, Chassidy McCalvin, and J.J. McCalvin; as well as her great great grandchildren, Ryan Brown, Elizabeth Haire, and Kayden Haire.  She is also survived by a sister, Lorine Scott of Bainbridge, GA. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Dorothy Glover Watson; her husband, Ray Allen; her son, Michael Allen; her daughter, Vinie R. McCalvin; her brothers, Earnest Watson and Bud Watson; her sister, Merlene Hall; and her son-in-law, Joe G. McCalvin.. Arrangements entrusted to Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
