DANIEL L. WILKERSON

Daniel L. Wilkerson, age 71, of Blakely, GA, passed away Monday afternoon, August 28, 2023, at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Wilkerson will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Springfield Baptist Church in Jakin, GA with Rev. Mark Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery with David Frith, Stephen Frith, Dusty Gardner, Brian Wilkerson, Jeremy Wilkerson, Jordan Wilkerson, Matt Merritt, and Justin Wilkerson serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be George Wilkerson, Jesse R. Wilkerson, O'Neal Wilkerson, Earl Wilkerson, Louie Wilkerson, Joseph Wilkerson, and members of Springfield Baptist Church.

Mr. Wilkerson was born December 8, 1951 in Donalsonville, GA to Jesse Wilkerson and Hazel Love Wilkerson. He served his country in the United States Army and he worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising chickens.

He is survived by his daughter, Gabrielle Wilkerson of Blakely, GA; his brothers, George Wilkerson, Jesse R. Wilkerson, Herbert O'Neal Wilkerson, Earl D. Wilkerson and Louie D. Wilkerson; his sisters, Marlene S. Barron and Darlene W. Merritt (Alan) all of Blakely, GA. His is also survived by four precious grandsons.

Mr. Wilkerson was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Wilkerson and Hazel Love Wilkerson.
