DAVID EDWARD MARR

David Edward Marr, age 76, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Tuesday morning, April 19, 2022 at Brookside Assisted Living in Tallahassee, FL. Funeral services for Mr. Marr will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Eric Anglin, Brandan Anglin, Trevor Smith, Zach Morris, Brandon Helms, and Steve Parrish serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Marr was born on June 5, 1945 in Jesup, GA to Jesse and Jeanette Yeomans Marr. He served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Mill where he worked as a Machine 3 Operator. Mr. Marr enjoyed fishing and gardening and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Denise Parrish and Steven of Dothan, AL and Donna Marr of Ozark, AL; his son-in-law, Michael Smith of Donalsonville, GA; his mother, Jeanette Marr of Jesup, GA; and his sisters, Lynn Loughrie of Sevierville, TN, Vina Ann Dobbs of Florida, and Beth Smith and Mike of Lake City, FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Eric Anglin (Raya), Brandan Anglin (Christy), Trevor Smith (Courtney Amos), Amelia Smith, and Erin Smith (Tristan Cuello) and his great grandchildren, Braxton Anglin, Ava Anglin, Rohan Anglin, Cohen Bo Smith, and Jentry Smith. Mr. Marr was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Marr; his wife, Carolyn Marr, his son, David Marr, and his daughter, Dianne Smith.
