DAVID RATHEL

David Rathel, age 69, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Sunday evening, November 18, 2018 at his residence.The family will receive friends at 2:00 PM at Lake Seminole Baptist Church on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018 followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM with Jesse Kelly officiating.  Mr. Rathel was born in Colquitt, GA on June 7, 1949 to Horace Rathel and Polly Widner Rathel.  He served his country in the United States Army and worked in the pest control industry.  Mr. Rathel loved fishing and making people laugh; he was a natural born jokester.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Dianne Rathel of Donalsonville, GA; his daughter, Tracy Smith and husband Todd of Donalsonville, GA and his son, Tony Rathel and wife Khrissy of Canton, GA; his brothers, Steve Rathel of Ashville, NC, Thomas Rathel of New Orleans, LA, Ricky Rathel of Smyrna, GA, and Harvey Rathel of Colquitt, GA; and his sister, Peggy Enzor and husband Ed of Saraland, AL.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Darren and Emily Brown, Logan and Joshua Rathel, Madison and Carlee Smith, and Summer Landeros.Mr. Rathel was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Polly Widner Rathel and two brothers, Johnny Rathel and Joseph Rathel.
