DONALD “DON” ALLEN BUSH

Donald “Don” Allen Bush, age 66, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021 at Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Bush will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Smith Smith officiating. Interment will be held in Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Richard Adams, Colby Bush, Jake Cox, Zach Cox, Shane Brown, and G. Minto serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Bush was born in Donalsonville, GA on Dec. 2, 1954 to Earnest Edward Bush and Jimmie Rebecca Murkerson Bush. He retired from Georgia Pacific after 40+ years as a machine tender/trainer. Mr. Bush was a member of Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church. He loved shooting pool and was known as being a Legend in that area. Don loved to listen to the music of country star Alan Jackson, and he was known as a hero and best friend to his family and loved ones. His pal was his 4-legged companion, Biscuit. He leaves to cherish his memory,his daughter Kerry Anderson and her husband Earl of Baldwin, GA; his son, Chris Bush of Donalsonville, GA; his grandchildren, Brandon Phillips “My Man” of Donalsonville, GA and Madison Bush of Baldwin, GA; his mother, Jimmie Bush of Donalsonville, GA; his sister, Janice Jones of Donalsonville, GA; his brother, Larry Bush and his wife Doodle of Cedar Springs, GA; and his special friend, Jeanette Perry of Jakin, GA. Mr. Bush is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, Biskit. Don was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Edward Bush and his brother-in-law, Bob Jones.
