Dorothy Joyce Albritton

Dorothy Joyce Glass Albritton, age 82, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Albritton will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Springfield Baptist Church in Jakin, GA with Rev. Zeth Smith officiating. Interment will be held in Open Pond Cemetery with Doug Glass, Ricky McGee, Mark Hawkins, Jeffrey Swanner, Paul Drake, and Ronnie Welch serving as casketbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting a 2:00 PM at the church. Mrs. Albritton was born in Early County, GA on October 26, 1936 to the late Jim Ira Glass and Bonnie Mae Miller Glass. Mrs. Albritton worked as a nurse and attended Springfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Albritton is survived by her daughter, Laura Jean Tew (Deryl) of Donalsonville, GA; her son, Bill Mercer, Jr. (Vicki) of Roanoke, AL; her grandchildren, Ryan Welch (Annie), Courtney Parker (Travis), Corey Mercer (Kimberly), Caden Mercer, and Cameron Glass; her great grandchildren, Mason Welch, Owen Welch, Kyler Nunley, Makenna Parker, Jaxon Parker, and Kragen Parker; her sister, Faye Baker (Sammy Joe); her brother, Arthur Glass (Ann); and her sister-in-law, Jane Glass. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Albritton; and her brothers, Ralph Glass and Thomas Earl Glass. Arrangements entrusted to Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
