Douglas McArthur Glass, age 79, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Wednesday evening May 7, 2025, at his residence.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
Mr. Glass was born in Donalsonville, GA on November 21, 1945, to Jim Ira Glass and Bronnie Mae Miller Glass. He worked as a crane operator at Georgia Pacific for 42 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and carpentry. He was a member of Hebrew Freewill Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and drove the youth and Sunday School bus.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 59 years, Ann Zorn Glass of Donalsonville, GA; his daughter, Gwen McGee and her husband Ricky of Jakin, GA; his sons, Doug Glass of Donalsonville, GA and James Glass of Donalsonville, GA; his grandchildren, Rusty Glass and his wife Chelsea, Crystal Starr and her husband Milton, Emily McGee and Kelly McGee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Glass was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Ira Glass and Bronnie Mae Miller Glass; his brothers, Ralph Glass and Earl Glass; sisters, Joyce Albritton and Faye Baker.
