Edward Crump

Edward Gene Crump, age 78, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Tuesday evening, August 11, 2026, at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Crump will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church with Rev. David Roland officiating. Burial will follow in Seminole Shores Cemetery with military honors and Michael Cooper, John Cooper, Donnie Ross, Kyle Currin, Norman Currin, and Richard Cooper serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church.

Mr. Crump was born on September 5, 1947 in Macon, GA to Ira Edward Crump and Ruby Lee Rolen. He graduated from Climax High School and right after high school he joined and served in the United States Army. Mr. Crump loved his church and teaching the church youth groups. He would help with fundraisers and hold signs by the road for them. He also loved basketball and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion, the Lion’s Club, advisor to the high school Leo Club at Seminole County High School, and actively dedicated to the Gideons organization and ministry. Mr. Crump was also responsible for and active in the organizing of the Climax High School reunions.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Steven Crump (Amanda), Eric Crump (Adriana), Stacy Reincheld (Nathan); his stepson, Richard Cooper (Jessica); his siblings, Ellen Marshall (Benn), Bernice Horne (Charles), Charles Crump, Sr. (Debbie), Kassi Speak, and David Crump (Robin). He is also survived by his grandsons, John Cooper and Michael Cooper, as well as numerous other grandchildren.

Mr. Crump was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Edward Crump and Ruby Lee Rolen; his wife, Beverly Elaine Robinson Crump, his stepson, Donnie Cooper, as well as his grandson, Richard Scott Cooper, II.
