Elizabeth Colleen Carter

December 18, 1958 — September 8, 2018

Elizabeth "Colleen" Carter, 59, passed away September 8,2018 after battling a long illness. She passed away with her loving husband by her side. Colleen has always put her family first and foremost in her everyday life. She loved with her whole heart and didn't meet anyone that she didn't leave an impact on.Colleen always had a smile on her face and you would always hear her laughing and cutting jokes. Colleen loved fishing and cooking for her family. Family meant everything to her, and as a blended family, she loved equally. She met the love of her life, Donald Carter Sr. in 1984. They have spent thirty-four amazing years together.  She is survived by her loving husband Donald Ray Carter Sr., and her three bonus children, Donald "Ray" Carter Jr. (Cheryl), Lisa Kay Carter (Robert), and Joni Lynn Pullam (Philip). Her two sons were the love of her life and she would light up when they came to visit. James Randall Grubbs, and Cecil Eugene Grubbs. Her siblings, sisters Gene (Dallas), Connie ( Robbie), and brother Louie ( Melanie).   With this blended family, she had ten wonderful grandchildren. Carolann Aldridge, Jon Aldridge, Philip Pullam, Levi Grubbs, Skylar Pullam, Logan Grubbs, Hannah Carter, Caylee Grubbs, Taylor Carter, and Ceatlyn Grubbs. She has 11 nieces and 13 nephews.   She is preceded in death by her parents Louie C. Smith and Macie Smith, Her sister Judy Wilson, a grandson Christopher Shane Aldridge, and nephew Walter "Justin" Smith, and a niece Angelia Roupe.  A celebration of her life will be held at her home on Saturday September 15 at 2:00 PM; 8032 Parkside Circle Donalsonville, Ga 39845.
