Evelyn McCormick

Evelyn Martin McCormick, age 95 of Donalsonville, GA passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026 at her residence.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Blakely City Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Bradley officiating.

Mrs. McCormick was born September 25, 1930 in Hilton, GA to Fredrick E. Martin and Rosa Sheppard Martin. Mrs. McCormick retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield and was a member of Lake Seminole Baptist Church. She loved gardening her flowers, bird watching, puzzles, reading and most of all she loved her family.

Mrs. McCormick leaves to cherish her memory, her son-in-law, John Egan (Carolyn); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick E. Martin and Rosa Sheppard Martin; her husband, Robert Earl McCormick, Sr.; her son, Robert “Bobby” McCormick, Jr.; her daughter, Dixie McCormick Egan; and her siblings, Fred Martin, Elmer Martin, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Truit, Ambrose Martin, Lorena Martin, Bessie Martin, Allen Martin and John Gordon Martin.

The family would also like to thank her special friends and caregivers for all their support, Gail and Wayne Thomas, Jennifer Cross, Annette Brown. Also a very special niece, Becky Brown.
