GEANETTE SEIGLER GREENE

Geanette Seigler Greene, age 93, of Iron City, GA, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, September 24, 2026, at her residence.

Funeral services for Mrs. Greene will be held on Sunday afternoon, September 27, 2026, at 4:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Donalsonville with Rev. Mike Herrin officiating. A family burial will follow at Oak City Cemetery in Bainbridge, GA with Michael Green, Zachary Sellers, Matthew royal, Luke Royal, Justin Alford, and Wesley Alford serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Patsy Barber, April McDonald, Crimson Crupper, Valerie Morris, Lesia Easterwood, Hayley Montgomery, Louise Reynolds, Susan Young, Becky Knowles, Nikki Holcomb, and Laverne Holman. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at 3:00 PM, at the church.

Mrs. Greene was born in Apopka, FL, on March 29, 1933, to Lummie Seigler and Mary Williams Seigler. She was a high school graduate and worked for many years alongside her husband, Alf Greene, at Greene Poultry and Alf’s Farm and Garden. Mrs. Greene served as an elder in the Presbyterian Church where she had been an active member for many years. As long as her health allowed, she was an active member of the Donalsonville Garden Club, the Iron City Ladies Club, the Bridge Club, and Boat Club.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Betty Jean Alford and her sister-in-law, Bobbie Greene. Mrs. Greene is also survived by her nephews, Lyle Seigler and wife Shannon, Ronnie Ingram and wife Brenda, Alan Ingram and wife Sue, Wade Ingram and wife Cindy, John Dorrell and wife Cheryl, James Dorrell, and Lane Greene and wife Teresa; her nieces, Louise Royal, Mary Leng and husband Tom, and Anne McCarron; as well as several great nephews, great nieces, and cousins.

Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her parents, Lummie and Mary Williams Seigler, her husband, Alfred “Alf” Joel Greene; her brother, Robert Louis Seigler; and her nephews, John Alford, Joel Greene, and Jud Greene.
